STREETLIGHTS

for Luke, who strongly and sternly reminded me of the importance of clarity in all visions...

I have always been intrigued by old streetlights... the lights on quaint roads that goldenly glow at dusk like the watercolors in a fine painting and help wanderers find the way home. Those streetlights keep time firmly in place, render a sameness to days, and a bring a peaceful serenity to those who live under a dark night sky.

There is something about the end of summer... when cool autumn is about to arrive and passengers on these streets can almost smell the coming of the welcoming cold in the air.
